Consciousness, healing and creativityA useful analogy one might use when trying to understand the concept of energy work in therapeutic applications that it can function like software, animating and programing physical functions in the body. It wasn't that long ago that computers used cards with punched holes acting as programs. Nowadays we completely accept that non-physical processes control our hardware machines, even to the point of entrusting our personal safety and lives to them. Is it really such a leap of faith to suppose that the 'hardware' of our anatomy and physiology functions in a similar way? Of course energy has many levels and expressions even if we confine ourselves to human life. Everything from the beating of our heart to our thought processes and emotional responses are expressions of energy. The field of energy therapy is equally vast. It can include everything from Eastern methods like Acupuncture and Shiatsu that focus on the meridian level 'Qi' to technologies in the emerging field of 'frequency medicine'. The use of monochromatic and laser light could also be included here as could vibration and tone related therapies and practices. Then of course there are 'wireless', non-physical methods where patient and therapist need not be in the same physical space to work together. Solid Air, distal healing and aspects of remote viewing are examples of these. Beyond all of this is the most wonderful software energy of all: consciousness. One of the least developed but possibly most important creative and healing techniques is the conscious 'programming' of directed and receptive thought and intuition. Through directing this energy both inwards to our personal energy body and outwards to the collective where information is limitless it can be possible to not only heal ourselves and others but creatively transform our lives.
